Herbert Bumgarner (1957)
O.H. (Herbert) Bumgarner, aged 83, of 268 South Monastary Ave., Baltimore, Md., died during the night last Saturday night or early Sunday morning. He had been ill for the past year after suffering a stroke.
He was a native of Wirt County, son of the late Jacob H. and Emma Thorne Bumgarner. He left here 60 or more years ago, and was located in Pittsburgh for about 30 years, and then spent the rest of his life in Baltimore. He worked in the local George Roberts Store in his younger life, and also taught school in Wirt County. In Pittsburgh and Baltimore he was a cattle broker. He was a thirty-second degree Mason.
Survivors include: four brothers, Harry T. and Gay M. Bumgarner, City, A.J. (Bert) Bumgarner of Uniontown, Pa., and Homer Bumgarner of Salt Rock, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie, in 1931; and by two brothers, Charles H. and Orlando Bumgarner, and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Roberts.
Harry T. Bumgarner, City, has been in Baltimore this week to attend the funeral services for his brother at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
