William Z. Sidwell

William Z. Sidwell, 70, of Munday, Wirt County, died Tuesday at the St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born in Calhoun County, June 29, 1885, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Sidwell, and was married to Fannie Busch in 1906. She preceded him in death in 1914.

Surviving this marriage were three children, Harley Sidwell, of Frost, O., Gurvis Sidwell, Munday, and Emory of Belpre. He married Amanda Schuman in 1918 and surviving this marriage are: four sons, Freddie Sidwell, Clarksburg, Lester of Cleveland, Frank and Donald, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Carpenter, Coolville, O., Mrs. Minnie Baileys, of Rt. 4, City, Mrs. Eliza Owens, Canton, O., Mrs. Della Boggs of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Pauline Gillispie of Manhattan, Kan.; 31 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

His second wife preceded him in death in 1948.

The body was removed from the Pomroy-Mace Funeral Home, to the late residence Thursday at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Bethel Church in Calhoun County with the Rev. H.H. Saunders of Big Springs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
