Rites Held Sunday For Wynoma Davis
Mrs. Wyoma B. Davis, 57, of Rt. 1, City, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg about 3 a.m. Friday, June 10, following a sudden illness at her residence in the Morristown section.
An especially well liked lady with a kind disposition and pleasant personality, she was born in Hardy County October 2, 1919, a daughter of the late William and Pearl Hepner.
She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at Windy.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Davis; a brother, Curtis Hepner, of Moorefield; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Jean Simmons and Mrs. Nellie Mullen of Moorefield, and Mrs. Louise Ours, of Petersburg.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pomroy Funeral Home Chapel in Elizabeth, with the Rev. James E. Sheets of Parkersburg officiating, and interment was in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
