Mrs. Dovie Neptune Services Yesterday

Mrs. Dovie Neptune, 88, of Rittman, Ohio, died in the Barberton Citizens Hospital in Doylestown, O., Sunday, October 15.

She was born at Leroy September 12, 1884, a daughter of the late Jefferson D. and Mary Ann Dobson Watkins.

A former resident of Wirt County, she had resided in Ohio the past several years. She had been a member of the Center Valley United Methodist Church in Wirt County, and remained a faithful attendant at churches in Ohio until two weeks before her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Neptune.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Orva Bise, of Doylestown, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Pearl Watkins, of West Point O.; and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Lucky, of Leroy, and Mrs. Jessie Looman, of Newell, W.Va.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) from the Center Valley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elmos Kilgo officiating. Burial was in the Center Valley Cemetery. Mace Funeral Home, City, was in charge of the arrangements.
