Floyd Schoolcraft Rites Held Today

Floyd M. Schoolcraft, 93, of Cairo, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Monday, July 4.

He was born at Elizabeth, son of the late Charles A. and Alcy Seese Schoolcraft. He was part owner and a retired contractor and driller for the Cairo Drilling Co. He was a member of the Cape Barkley IOOF Lodge No. 51.

He is survived by four sons, Charles of Parkersburg, Norman of Cairo, Floyd (Bud) of Sykesville, Md., and Paul of Marietta, O.; six daughters, Mrs. Zelma Zuckty, Cleveland, O., Carmel Andreosan, Cincinnati, O., Mrs. Virginia Smith, Bellefontaine, O., Mrs. Loretta Cutlip, Parkersburg, Mrs. Betty Wince and Mrs. Donna Hannan, St. Marys; 21 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Schoolcraft, and by five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Raiguel Funeral, Cairo, with the Rev. Frank Lambert officiating, and burial to follow in the Cairo IOOF Cemetery, with graveside rites conducted by Cape Barkley IOOF Lodge.
