Nellie Stuhlemmer Rites Held Monday

Mrs. Nellie Stuhlemmer, 63, of State Rt. 5, near Creston, Wirt County, died Friday, January 12, at 11 a.m., at the Worthington Manor Convalescent Center in Parkersburg after a long illness.

She was born July 29, 1915, in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Elizabeth Smith Nutter.

She had lived in Cleveland, O., for 30 years, but had always held great affection for her native area, and returned to Creston to establish her residence seven years ago. She was a popular and well-liked lady.

Surviving are one son, William Clyde Lowe of Elyria, O.; two grandsons, William C. Lowe, Jr., with the U.S. Marine Corps in Japan, and Thomas Howard Lowe, of Elyria, O.; and one great-granddaughter, Crystal Marie Lowe.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Creston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gladson Grim, City, officiating, and interment was in the Snyder Cemetery at Creston. Pomroy Funeral Home, of Elizabeth, was in charge of the arrangements.
