Thomas H. Tucker Rites Last Saturday

Thomas H. (Tom) Tucker, 87, of 1249 West Virginia Ave., Dunbar, died Wednesday, January 17, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a sudden illness.

He was born in Wirt County, son of the late James R. and Catherine Morris Tucker, and had been a resident of Dunbar for 56 years. He formerly lived in Charleston and Parkersburg. He was a retired carpenter and contractor.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lona Ferrell Tucker; three sons, Earl, of Charleston, Carl, of Louisville, Ky., and Clyde, of Parkersburg; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Spiread, of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Betty Steinmetz, of Cross Lanes, Mrs. Catherine Davis of Etna, O., and Mrs. Opal Richard, Columbus, O.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Keller Funeral Home Chapel in Dunbar, with the Rev. Homer Hicks officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Wirt County, Rt. 3, Elizabeth.
