Quick Rites Held Today At Limestone

Kenneth O. Quick, a real well liked 63-year-old Tucker District resident of Rt. 1, Elizabeth, died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg Tuesday morning, July 11. He had been afflicted with a heart ailment for several years.

He was born in Wirt County May 28, 1915, a son of the late Oliver and Emma Rollins Quick.

Kenneth had a cheerful personality, was an accommodating and helpful neighbor, and always maintained high interest in Wirt County civic affairs. He was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church, was retired from employment at the O. Ames Company in 1962, and was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Cora Howell [Powell] Quick; three sons, John T., of Rt. 1, Palestine, Rexie O. and Charles R. Quick, of Route 1, City; a brother John Franklin Quick, of Newell; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Mildred) Miller, of Route 1, City; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, and a grandson.

Services were scheduled to be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Limestone United Methodist Church with the Rev. Amos B. McVey, Jr., and the Rev. Paul Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Elizabeth K. of P. Cemetery. Pomroy Funeral Home, City, is in charge of the arrangements.
