James G. Burrows Rites Saturday
Services for James G. Burrows, 60, of Brohard, who passed away Wednesday, August 16, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, after a long illness, were held Saturday, August 19, at the Matheny-Mace Funeral Home, City.
He was born in Mason County September 27, 1917, a son of the late Clarence and Rachel Camel Burrows.
He had resided in Brohard for the past 30 years and was a boilermaker for 28 years. He was a member of the local union No. 667.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Newbrough Burrows; a son, James, of Zanesville, O.; three step-sons, Denzil, James and Louis; three brothers, William, Robert and Samuel, of Fostoria, O.; two sisters, Phyllis Denny, of Delaware, O., and Emogene Baird, of Fostoria; five grand-children, 15 step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol June, and a step-son, Joseph, and a brother.
Burial was in the Wolverton Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers were Roger Lynch, Larry Moore, Delbert Bunner, Lyle Gibson, June Gibson and Joseph R. Newbrough.
