Rites Held Sunday For Dale Pepper
Samuel Dale Pepper, 62, of Macfarlan was dead on arrival at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, on Thursday of last week, October 21, following an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Calhoun County July 16, 1909, a son of the late Roy and Sadie Lynch Pepper. He was a retired oil field worker.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Lewis Pepper; one son Robert Pepper, of Munday; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Wells of Upper Falls, Md., Mrs. Louise Schartman of Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Geraldine Farrell of Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Lodi, Ohio; four brothers, Don Pepper of Hudson, Ohio, Harry Pepper of Stow, Ohio, Roy Pepper of Frostburg, Md., and William Pepper of Peninsula, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. John Reed and Mrs. Lewis Smith, both of Mt. Savage, Md. And Mrs. Delma Grim of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pomroy Funeral Home Chapel, City, with the Rev. Bud Graham of Creston officiating, and burial was in the Hartley Cemetery at Brohard.
