Mrs. Alice Westfall Rites Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Leola Westfall, 68, of Rt. 1 Palestine, who died Saturday, October 5, in the Ohio Valley Hospital at Steubenville, O., after a short illness, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Good Hope Baptist Church.

The Rev. Perry Parsons was the officiating clergyman. Interment was made in the Boggs Cemetery on State Rt. 14.

Born December 21, 1905, in Washington County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Dave and Annie Perry Kerns. She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Perry C. Westfall; six sons, Gilford and Gerald Westfall, both of Warren, O., Donald, of Leavittsburg, O., Bubbie, of Cumberland, O., Merle, of Elyria, O., and Dailas, of Liverpool, W.Va.; six daughters, Edith McGee, Parkersburg, Madelyn Deem, Torch, O., Marjorie Troy, Elkview, June Ray, New Cumberland, Geraldine Munas, of Weirton, and Betty Farrell, of Elyria; two sisters, Edna Heil and June Kerns, both of Bridgeport, Ohio; 38 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons.

Pomroy Funeral Home of Elizabeth was in charge of the arrangements.
