Services Today For William L. Trippett

William Lee Trippett, 84, of Cedar Grove, Rt. 5, Parkersburg, died Monday, Nov. 17, at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Wirt County, he was a son of the late T.G. and Mary Jane Cox Trippett, and was a member of the Two Ripple Baptist Church.

He was employed for 28 years at the Citizens Coat and Concrete Co., and prior to that position, with the Rig & Reel Co. He had spent the greater part of his life in Wirt and Wood Counties. He had retired in 1944.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgie Trippett; one son, William L. Trippett, of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Garnet Wright, of Parkersburg; three step-sons, Coy, Sherman and Harry Sims; two brothers, Kelly Trippett, Parkersburg, and Rufus Trippett, City,; one sister, Mrs. Stella Freeze, of California; 22 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Pearl Trippett; and by three brother, Charles, Amos and Calvin.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Two Ripple Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Hutchinson officiating and burial was in the church cemetery. Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg was in charge of the arrangements.
