Mrs. Cosbey H. Acors

Mrs. Cosbey H. Acors, 67, of Rt. 1, Palestine, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, in the Webster Springs Memorial Hospital following a one-month illness.

She was the widow of Frank D. (Dick) Acors, who died in 1951, and taught school in Wirt, Webster and Jackson Counties for 35 years.

Born in Webster County May 2, 1894, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Holbrook. She attended Glenville State and Salem Teachers College, and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors are two step-daughters, Mrs. Marshall Balser and Mrs. Floyd Villers, both of Parkersburg; one step-son, John P. Acors, of Belpre, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Teta, of Cowan, Webster County; three brothers, Frank Holbrook of Weston, Henry Holbrook of Buckhannon, and Reese Holbrook of Palestine. Also surviving her are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 25, from the Two Ripple Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Deem officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Burdette and Lindsay Funeral Home of Parkersburg was in charge of the arrangements.
