Alvin Greathouse Services Today

Funeral services for Alvin H. Greathouse, 69, of 1342 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg, were scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Ogdin Funeral Home, with the Rev. G. William Wolford officiating, and burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Greathouse, who died Tuesday, May 3, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, was born in Wirt County born in Wirt County, a son of Mrs. Elizabeth Cain Greathouse, of Parkersburg, and the late Alvin G. Greathouse. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired oil field worker, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Parkersburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a nephew, Michael G. Goudy, of Parkersburg.
