Christopher A. Sims

Christopher A. Sims, 83, of Route 1, Palestine, died Friday, Dec. 28, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following a short illness.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Long, Rt. 1, Palestine, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Florence Wilcox, of Parkersburg; two brothers, Lennard F. and H.N. (Nute) Sims of Parkersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Flinn, of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Otta Dutcher, of Bucyrus, Ohio; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie E. Sims, and five children. In addition to others, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Merrill Chapel Church, with the Rev. Raymond Keeper officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. McCray Funeral Home, City, was in charge of arrangements.
