Rites held Tuesday For Gay L. Sims

Gay L. Sims, 57, of 2705 11th Ave., Parkersburg, died suddenly Saturday, September 2, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

Born in Wirt County, son of the late John and Sarah McClung Sims, he was a member of Beulah Hill Presbyterian Church, and had been employed at Bonded Sleep Products, Parkersburg the past 30 years. He resided at Burning Springs and was a Wirt County school student during the early part of his life, and had resided in Parkersburg 29 years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one grandson.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Helen Fought Sims; a daughter, Mrs. Dannie (Shirley) Miller, Rt. 3, City; two sons, A. B. (Buss) Sims, Parkersburg, and Jimmy Sims, at home; four brothers, Ray, Parkersburg, Howard, Atlanta, Ga., Alva, Akron, O., and Allan Sims, Cleveland, O.; two sisters, Mrs. George Vincent, of Fairmont, and Mrs. Roy Robinson, of Illinois; six grandchildren, and several nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services were held at Franklin and Son Memorial Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Frank Turnbull officiating, and burial was in the Beulah Hill Cemetery in Wirt County.
