Charley H. Hill

Charley H. Hill, aged 79 of Leroy died at his residence Tuesday morning, Dec. 17.

Born June 30, 1878 in Monroe County, Ohio, he was a son of the late James H. and Mary Jane Daugherty Hill.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Junior O.U.A.M Council No. 173 at Pee Wee.

Survivors include one son Clyde Hill, of the family residence; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne Brown of Parkersburg; two brothers, Clate Hill, of Liverpool and Jim Hill, of Akron, Ohio; one sister Mrs. Katherine Enoch of Parkersburg; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna who died in 1947, and two brothers David and Orval Hill.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Center Valley Methodist Church with the Rev. G. Prine of Leroy officiating. Graveside services were conducted by member of the Jr. O.U.A.M in the church cemetery. The Pomroy Funeral Home, City, was in charge of arrangements.
