Mrs. Edna E. McVey Rites on Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Esther McVey, 68, of Rt. 1, Parkersburg, who died in St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, Sunday, Oct. 8, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Summit Valley Methodist Church.
The Rev. Ruby Wilkinson officiated, assisted by the Rev. Charles Hutchinson. Burial was in the Center Valley Cemetery in Wirt County.
Born at Leroy, Jackson County, a daughter of the late David and Nancy Price Hill, she was a member of the Summit Valley Methodist Church, and had lived in the Parkersburg area for 30 years. She was the widow of Thomas J. McVey.
Survivors include one son, Gordon McVey of Parkersburg; five daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Wilson and Margie McVey, both of Vienna, Mrs. Ethel Evans of Redlands, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Evans and Mrs. Linda Deem, both of Parkersburg; three brothers, Wilbert Hill, Akron, O., Roy Hill, Leroy, and Glen Hill, Mineral Wells; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Fouts, Clinton, O., Mrs. Freda Crew, Mogadore, O., and Mrs. Velma Hupp, Akron; 25 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son.
Vaughan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
