Rites Tuesday For Adelia E. Bennett

Mrs. Adelia Elizabeth Bennett, age 81, of Rt. 1, Palestine, died Sunday morning, December 26, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.

She was born in Wirt County April 5, 1895, a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Nancy Lowe Carothers. She was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church, and had spent much of her life in Wirt County.

Surviving are two sons, Paul Bennett, Bellview, Ky., and Jobie Bennett, Mifflin O.; three daughters, Miss Blanche Bennett, Columbus, O., Mrs. Burnadean Peters, Mansfield, O., and Mrs. Ruth Bibbie, of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jobie E. Bennett, in 1963; and by a daughter and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Palestine Baptist Church with the Rev. David Morris officiating, and interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery, Garfield Road.
