Services Held for Holly Siers

Holly Siers, 71, of 2510 Fairfax St., Parkersburg, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital Saturday, December 27, following a heart attack.

He was a native of Calhoun County and the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Siers. He was a former Wirt County resident for several years of both the Windy section and Elizabeth, well liked and a dedicated Christian, being the former deacon of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He was a retired millwright who was employed by A.B. Chance, of Parkersburg, for 20 years. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Parkersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Bridges Siers; two sons, Richard L. Siers, of Mogadore, O., and Dale Siers, Rt. 1, Mineral Wells; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bennett and Mrs. Betty Porter of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Nancy Jackson of Belpre, O.; two brothers, E. Lee Siers of Kingston, Tenn., and Wilbert Siers of Liston, O.; one sister, Mrs. Nora Schoolcraft of Akron, O.; 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Broadway Baptist Church with the Rev. Vairl C. Winter of Ravenswood officiating, and interment was in the Prosperity Brethren Church Cemetery on Limestone Ridge in Wirt County. Franklin and Son Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
