Interment here For Louis W. Anderson

Louis W. (John) Anderson, 71, of Slate, died Tuesday, January 2, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.

Born in Jackson County, a son of the late Francis and Nancy Bonnett Anderson, he was a member of Jefferson Baptist Temple and was employed by Universal. Glass Products Co. until his retirement in 1961.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie M. Anderson; two sons, Ralph B., of Parkersburg, and Ray E. Anderson, Golden, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Davis, Belpre, and Mrs. Blondena Shockey, Akron, O.; one brother, Frank Anderson, Parkersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Glenna Smith and Mrs. Lillie Trippett, Parkersburg; 17 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons and two daughters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Harley Bailey officiating. Interment was in the Elizabeth K. of P. Cemetery.
