Mrs. Maggie Gates

Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Gates, 80, of Leroy, died Thursday afternoon, November 21, at the Pineview Nursing Home, Harrisville, following a long illness.

She was born December 30, 1882, in Wirt county, daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Jane Cline Mills. She was a member of the Center Valley Methodist Church.

She was married to Homer Full, who died in 1925. She later married William Gates, who died about five years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Cecil and Pete Full, both of Leroy; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Grace Gages, Mentor, O., Mrs. Pearl Woods, Parkersburg; one brother, L.C. Mills, California; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. One son, Denzil Full, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Center Valley Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Watkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ezra Higgins. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pomroy Funeral Home, City was in charge of arrangements.
