Mrs. Rose E. Garretson

Mrs. Rose E. Garretson, 76, of 622 Lulu Street, Parkersburg, died Friday morning, Oct. 15, in St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was a member of the Elizabeth Church of Christ for the past 50 years, being a former local resident for many years. She was a retired employee of the U.S. Tile Co.

Born November 3, 1888, in Wirt County, she was the daughter of the late George and Victoria Boice.

Survivors include her husband, Chester Garretson; two daughters, Mrs. Greeta Cornell, of Cuyahoga Falls, O., and Mrs. Helen Clymer, of Arlington, Va.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Orland Garretson, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Franklin Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Evangelist Marion Stephens officiated, and burial was in the Snider Cemetery at Creston.
