Sidney C. Knotts Claimed by Death

Sidney C. Knotts, 74, of 613 Bird St., Parkersburg, died suddenly Friday evening, December 5, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital where he had been a medical patient for a few days.

Born in Wirt County, he was a son of the late Wade and Isabell Moore Knotts. He was a former employee of the B. & O. Railroad and of the Parks Hardware firm, and had also been an employee of the Parkersburg Sanitary Board. He attended the Gospel Mission in Parkersburg. For several months, Mr. Knotts had resided with his only daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Villers, City.

Survivors in addition to Mrs. Villers are three sons, Lloyd Knotts, Kane, Pa., Floyd Knotts, Parkersburg, and Cecil Knotts, Fleming, O.; two brothers Harry Knotts, Rt. 1, City, and Walter Knotts, Belpre, O.; one half-brother, Lundy Moore, Slate; three sisters, Mrs. Lyda Dent, Mrs. Freda Davis and Mrs. Nedra Cove, all of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Franklin Memorial Chapel in Parkersburg with the Rev. Hayward Gribble officiating, and burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
