Mrs. Mary Dennis

Mrs. Mary Goff Dennis, 74, of the Peewee Community on Right Reedy, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, January 17, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born April 16, 1884, in Wirt County, she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Susan Goff.

She was a member of the Center Valley Methodist Church, the Daughters of America, Hope Council No. 24, at Peewee, the Peewee Farm Woman's Club, Pisgah WSCS and the Center Valley WSCS.

She was married to Thomas N. Dennis, who preceded her in death May 11, 1941.

Survivors include one foster son, Charles G. Gordon, of the family residence; two brothers, Delbert Goff of Toledo, O., and Marshall Goff of Elizabeth, Rt. 4.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Center Valley Methodist Church, the Rev. Donald Peregoy officiating, and interment was in the church cemetery. Pomroy Funeral Home, City, was in charge of the arrangements.
