Lloyd G. Forshey Rites Held Monday (1969)

Lloyd Gay Forshey, 58, of 2210 7th Ave., Parkersburg, died Friday, April 25, in St. Joseph's Hospital, following an extended illness.

Born in Wirt County, a son of the late William and Jennie Forshey, he was a member of the United Union Chapel Methodist Church and was self-employed as a plumber.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Willa VanDyke Forshey; one son, James E. Forshey, Parkersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Black and Mrs. Maxine Adams, both of Parkersburg; two brothers, Sam Forshey, Parkersburg, and Herbert Forshey, Montgomery, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Homer Angus, Sandyville, Mrs. Alva Miller, Akron, O., Mrs. Homer Ball, Uniontown, O., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kimes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Hobson officiating, and burial was in Lubeck Cemetery.
