Mrs. Ella Baker (1958)

Mrs. Ella Baker, 74, of Annamoriah, Calhoun County, formerly of Creston, died Friday morning, May 23, at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, following a short illness.

Born in Wirt County April 26, 1884, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Mary Maze Campbell.

She is survived by her husband, Ira Baker; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Henthorn of Zanesville, O., and Mrs. Greeta Knotts of Minnora, Calhoun County, eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Creston Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Cruickshank of Minnora officiating, assisted by the Rev. S.A. Scott of Palestine. Burial was in the Creston cemetery. Pomroy Funeral Home, City, was in charge of arrangements.
