Girdon Martin Dies at Shinnston

Girdon Martin, aged in his 70's, of Shinnston, W. Va., a native of Wirt County who spent his youth here, died there Sunday, August 2, after having suffered a stroke on Friday, July 31.

He was a teamster and had worked in the oil fields.

Survivors include his wife and three daughters. He was preceded in death by four sons.
