Wirt Native Died At Mansfield, Ohio

Raymond Ray Thorn, 41, of 1345 Royal Oak Drive, Mansfield, Ohio, died at his residence on Wednesday, January 10, of a heart attack.

He was born at Palestine, Wirt County, March 19, 1931, son of Anna Miller Thorn of 503 27th St., Vienna, and the late Michael Kenneth Thorn.

He had been a member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church since 1943. He had been an employee and a vice president of Burger Chef, Ponderosa Steak House and Long John Silver fish houses and had recently been assigned to the main office at Mansfield.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mary Thorn; two sons, Robert Paul and Ronald Ray Thorn, of Ashland, Ohio, College; two brothers, James William and Joseph Bazel Thorn, of Vienna; three nieces, six nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death in 1954 by his father at the age of 54.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, January 12, at the J.H. Finefrock and Sons Funeral Home, Mansfield, with the Rev. Robert F. Haskins officiating and burial was in Mansfield Memorial Park.
