Mrs. Lelia G. Bailey, 68, of Route 3, City, died Thursday, January 22, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
Born at Adam, Calhoun Country July 26, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Emma Ash Starcher. She was a member of the Beech Methodist Church at Beech.
Survivors include her husband, Paris Bailey; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Johnston, Rt. 3, City, and Mrs. Denna Lott, of Parkersburg; three sons, Donald Bailey, of Parkersburg, Claude Bailey, Rt. 3, City, and Hubert Bailey, Rt. 1, Palestine; one sister, Mrs. Delta Burrows, of Grantsville; three brothers, H. P. Starcher, Spencer, Earl Starcher, Rt. 4, Zanesville, O., and Grant Starcher, of Akron, Ohio; and 20 grandchildren.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister, and two brothers.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the McCray Funeral Home, City, with the Rev. Frank J. Turnbull of rt. 1, Palestine, officiating, and interment was in the Merrill Chapel Cemetery near the Wirt-Wood County line.
