George A. Cunningham
George A. Cunningham, 75, of Rt. 1, Petroleum, died Wednesday, Feb 26, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following six weeks' illness.
Born March 1, 1882, in Gilmer County, he was a son of the late Joe and Mary Elizabeth Ayers Cunningham.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Florence Kerns Cunningham; five sons, Fred and Carl Cunningham, both of Akron, O., the Rev. Orval Cunningham of Davisville, Bernard Cunningham of Beatrice, and Ray Cunningham of the family residence; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Butcher, Parkersburg, Mrs. Grace Marshall, of Petroleum; four brothers, Thomas Cunningham, Breman, O., Dan and Andy Cunningham, Clarksburg, and Retes Cunningham of Goff; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Somerville, Chillicothe, O., and Mrs. Tena Ginery, Breman, O.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Twist Baptist Church with the Rev. John Simpson, Bridgeport, and the Rev. E. C. Clegg, Davisville, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pomroy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
