Perry Roberts, 67, of Macfarlan, died at his residence Thursday morning, January 10.
He was born in Ritchie County, was a member of the Church of Christ, and had been employed by the Cabot Gas Corporation.
He is survived by his widow, Gladys Fortney Roberts; five sons, Benjamin of Stow, O., Adrian of Whitehall, O., Paul of Frazeysburg, O., Charles P. of Elizabeth, and Loyal of Parkersburg; five daughters, Velma Hart of Perrysville, O., Lovell Boughner of Porter's Falls, Wetzel County, Martha Dye of Jamestown, Pa., Marjorie Richard and Marie Givens of Elizabeth; a brother Donald of St. Marys; five sisters, Mae Fortney of Coolville, O., Myrtle Chaddock and Juanita Hupp of Macfarlan, Belle McRoberts of Oberlin, O., and Ora Roberts of Parkersburg; 34 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hartley Church of Christ, and interment was in the Straight Creek Cemetery. Raiguel Funeral Home of Harrisville was in charge of the arrangements.
