Lem Vandal

Lem Vandal, 67, a bachelor, who lived in Creston, was found dead at his home Tuesday. It was believed he had been dead for two days. His death was attributed to natural causes.

Mr. Vandal was born at Grace, Roane County, W.Va., the son of Lenox and Rosy Vandal and had been a farmer most of his life. He served in France during World War I.

Surviving are two brothers, William Vandal of Leatherbark, W.Va., John Vandal of Marietta, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Salley Tanner of Creston, and Mrs. Allie Bragg, of Oak Hill, W. Va.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hodam Chapel church, of Spring Creek, with the Rev. W.D. Dotson of Palestine, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The body was removed from the Pomroy-Mace Funeral Home to the church one hour prior to the service to lie in state.
