Rites Yesterday For William (Joe) McCoy

William Joseph (Joe) McCoy, 80, of Leroy, died Saturday evening, December 9, at the Parkview Health Center in Parkersburg after a long illness.

He was born in Arkansas, a son of the late William George and Minnie Ellen MacCollard McCoy.

Mr. McCoy, a long-time resident of the Leroy section, was a retired construction worker. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Click McCoy; a brother, James E. McCoy, of Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. Vida Edmonson, in Arkansas and Mrs. Anna Alix, in Texas.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Services were conducted at 11 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday) at the Franklin & Son Memorial Chapel in Parkersburg.
