Rites Held For Mrs. Emma Snyder

Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Snyder, 78, of 602 33rd St., Parkersburg, died at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Friday, January 12.

She was born at Creston, Wirt County, daughter of the late Allan and Inza Headley Hopkins.

A member of the Briscoe Run Baptist Church near Vienna, she was held in high esteem by all who knew her, including many friends yet remaining in the Creston area.

She is survived by two sons, Loy A., of Parkersburg, and Donald G., of Milwaukee, Wisc.; two brothers, Paul Hopkins, of Zanesville, O., and Chris Hipkins, of Wichita Falls, Tex.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville L. Snyder; and by a daughter, a son, and a grandson.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Briscoe Run Baptist Church, with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Interment was in the Snyder Cemetery at Creston. Ogdin Funeral Home of Parkersburg was in charge of the arrangements.
