Ethel Frank Moncrief
Ethel Frank Moncrief, 87, of Leroy, Wirt county, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 1962 at 12:50 a.m. at his home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1875 in Jackson county, son of Joseph and Sarah Lewis Moncrief. He was a member of the Center Valley Methodist Church and a retired American Viscose Corp. employee.
Survivors include two sons, Earl L. Moncrief, Lowell, O.; and Roscoe P. (Dill) Moncrief, Leroy; three daughters, Mrs. Roy Nuzum and Mrs. Carl McPherson, both of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Byrl Boston, Vienna; two brothers, Fred Moncrief of Cleveland, O., and Neil Moncrief, Sandyville; 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Mrs. Lucy Full Moncrief, died in 1925, and he also was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. a the Center Valley Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edmond Life of Chester, O., and the Rev. Ulysses Rae of Leroy officiating. Pomroy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
