Forrest L. Armstrong Rites Held Yesterday (1969)

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday) at the Memorial Funeral Chapel on Camden Avenue, Parkersburg, for Forrest L. Armstrong, 62, of 3111 Camden Ave., that city, who died Sunday, May 18, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months.

The Rev. Clyde Crites and the Rev. Darius Bennett officiated and burial was in the IOOF Cemetery.

Born at Burning Springs, Wirt County, he was a son of the late Frank L. and Sarah O'Brien Armstrong. He had been employed by the Johns Manville Company for the past 18 years, and he had attended the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Hanlin Armstrong; one brother, E.D. Armstrong, of Parkersburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.
