Rites on Monday For Mrs. Estelle E. Davis

Estelle Erma Brown Davis, 72, of 414 37th St., Parkersburg, died Saturday, May 6, at the Selby General Hospital in Marietta O.

She was born in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Peter and Alice Moncrief Brown.

Mrs. Davis was a former member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, a member of the Woodman of the World, and had resided in Parkersburg much of her life.

Surviving are three sons, Cecil E. Davis, Sandyville, Earl Wayne Davis and Franklin E. Davis, Parkersburg; two brothers, Doc Brown and Beech Brown, of Parkersburg; four sisters Mrs. Florence Fleak, Mrs. Lucy Lowdy and Miss Ada Brown, all of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Ruth Palmer, of East Liverpool, O.; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Davis, in 1964; by one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating, and burial was in the Center Valley Cemetery in Wirt County.
