Brenton Bailey (1964)

Brenton Bailey, 1800 12th Ave., Parkersburg, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Saturday, Dec. 12.

He was a son of the late Obie and Emma Jane Matthews Bailey, and had lived in Wirt and Wood Counties all his life. He was a member of the Baptist Gospel Temple in Parkersburg.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mable Ball, Canton, O., Mrs. Bessie Morris, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Helen Mitchell of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Leona Bumgarner, Parkersburg; two sons, Carl Bailey of Canton, O., and Charles Bailey, Parkersburg; two sisters, Claudia Starcher, Clarksburg, and Mrs. Georgia Bailey, Parkersburg; one brother, Allie Bailey, Parkersburg; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Baptist Gospel Temple with the Rev. R. L. Phillips officiating. Additional services were conducted at the Bethel Methodist Church in Wirt County, with interment following in the church cemetery. Leavitt Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
