Val Bailey Rites Today in Belpre

Val Bailey, 75, of 1009 Poplar Ave., Belpre, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 19, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.

Born at Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Francis F. and Rebecca Nutter Bailey. Having spent most of his life in the Belpre area, he retired in 1958 from the O. Ames Company, Parkersburg. He was affiliated with the E.U.B. Church of Belpre.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Jones Bailey; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Hughes, Belpre; two sons Randall R. Bailey, Vienna, and David E. Bailey, Belpre; one brother, Ross D. Bailey, Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Spencer Funeral Home in Belpre, with the Rev. Emmett Osborne officiating, and burial to be in the Rockland Cemetery.
