Rites Today For Carl James Bailey (1972)

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at Marrtown Bible Church for Carl James Bailey, 61, of Rt. 3, Mineral Wells, who died Saturday night, December 30, 1972, at his home.

He was born in Wirt County June 8, 1911, a son of the late Brenton and Famie Bailey. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving him are four sons, Chuck, Bubie, Carl and Mike, all of Parkersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Ball, Rt. 2, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Bessie Morris, Rt. 3, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Leona Bumgarner and Mrs. Helen Mitchel, both of Parkersburg; and by several nieces and nephews.

Leavitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements, and interment was made in the Bethel Cemetery, near Elizabeth. The Rev. L. R. Mahoney was the officiating minister.
