Rites Held Tuesday For Dorr Amos, 55

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gatens Funeral Home In Poca, Kanawha County, for William Dorr Amos, 55; of Bancroft, Putnam County, who died Saturday, December 28, in Charleston General Hospital.

Born in Wirt County August 5, 1913, he was a son of the late J.E. and Minnie B. Clay Amos.

He was a supervisor for the cost accounting at the FMC (Viscose) Corp. plant at Nitro. He was, a member of the Moose lodge, the Kanawha Valley Accountants Association, and the Management Club.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Frances Dunegan Amos; one son, Sgt. Thomas Amos, of Norfolk, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Sankaran, of Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Sue Story, of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Ralph E. and Kendall Amos of Elizabeth RFD's, and Roy Amos, Parkersburg, four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knotts, Elizabeth RFD, Mrs. Lena Heatherly of Torch, O., Mrs. Thelma Ward of Belpre, O., and Mrs. Evelyn Dowler of Parkersburg.

Interment was in the Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens.
