Rites Friday for Burley Bumgarner (1977)
Burley H. Bumgarner, 76, of Rt. 1, Palestine, a popular resident of the Two Runs Community, died Tuesday morning, July 19, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following a brief illness.
A son of the late Thomas and Lou Hall Bumgarner, and a life-long resident of the Palestine area, he was a farmer, and a member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church.
Burley had a real pleasant and likeable personality, and will be greatly missed by his host of friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Winnie Halbert Bumgarner; one son, Camden Bumgarner, of Weirton; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Channell of Elizabeth, and Mrs. Odie Spinnilli, of Atwater, O.; one brother, Casper Bumgarner, of Rt. 1, Palestine; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) at the Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with the Rev. Jon Caudle officiating. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery in Wirt County.
